Dr. Aneela Saleem is a distinguished Pakistani academic, researcher, and scholar of Urdu language and literature, recognized for her outstanding contributions to higher education, literary research, and interdisciplinary scholarship. She completed her prestigious Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Oxford, United Kingdom (2024), following a Ph.D. in Urdu from the University of the Punjab. Her academic excellence has been acknowledged through multiple distinctions, including top positions at the University of the Punjab.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Oriental College, University of the Punjab, Dr. Saleem has built an impressive academic profile spanning teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic administration. She has supervised numerous M.Phil. and postgraduate research projects, authored scholarly books, published extensively in internationally indexed journals, and presented research at prestigious national and international conferences. Her research interests encompass Urdu literature, literary criticism, linguistics, South Asian cultural studies, Kashmiri studies, translation studies, and comparative literature.
With a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global scholarly collaboration, Dr. Aneela Saleem continues to make significant contributions to research, higher education, and intellectual development. Her international academic exposure, particularly at the University of Oxford, combined with her dedication to quality education and impactful research, has established her as one of Pakistan’s emerging voices in contemporary literary and humanities scholarship.
